Anna (she/her) is thrilled to join the New Perspective team as a Therapist Intern. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Brooklyn College.  Anna believes that effective therapy is grounded in curiosity, respect, and humility, as well as appreciation of the wisdom that every person brings to the process.

As a therapist, Anna enjoys creating a space. Anna finds joy in building supportive, collaborative spaces where clients can explore how the intersections of race, culture, gender, sexual identity, and abilities, shape their stories,  and where clients feel safe laying out the puzzle pieces of their lives—pieces that represent their past, values, passions, and identities She is committed to honoring the complexity of each client’s lived experience and strives to practice therapy that is proactively inclusive, culturally humble, and affirming of all identities.

Through deep listening, empathy, humor, or collaborative “experiments,” Anna helps clients feel seen, supported, and gently challenged.

Her warm and calming demeanor creates an environment in which neurodiverse clients can experiment with ways of meeting their nervous system’s unique needs.  In this work, clients are invited to challenge long-held assumptions about themselves and discover language for things they may have never voiced before.

She views therapy as a shared journey toward clarity, change, and healing, where differences are celebrated as strengths.

Anna enjoys working with a wide range of clients, including those exploring their gender and sexual identities, clients living with chronic or progressive illness, individuals experiencing caretaker burnout, and those in long-term recovery from addiction.
