Francesca (she/her) Francesca Buttaro (she/her) is excited to join the New Perspective team as a full-time Therapist Trainee. Having completed her doctoral coursework in Clinical Psychology, she is currently completing an advanced training year as she works toward earning her PsyD.

Francesca believes that healing happens within relationships where people feel deeply understood, accepted, and supported.  She views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership where she and her clients work together to untangle life’s knots. Sometimes this means exploring how those knots formed, while other times it involves developing the skills needed to loosen them so that life feels more manageable and fulfilling.

Francesca believes that healing happens within relationships where people feel deeply understood, accepted, and supported.

Francesca values creating a calm, grounded therapeutic practice where she can help clients slow down so that they can connect to themselves and feel more centered and confident in their daily lives.  She is especially interested in supporting clients navigating trauma and living with deep emotional pain.

Through a humanistic and relational lens, Francesca integrates evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She helps people increase self-understanding, strengthen coping skills, and reduce internal barriers that may be preventing them from creating a values-aligned life.
